The Beauty and the Beast

This here is my latest Deviation scanned from my sketchbook. It's completely done using my Cello Gripper Ballpoint pen on A3 Cartridge Paper Sketchbook. Took me over a week, and in hours that would be about thirty hours??? No references has been used. And it is fully Ballpoint pen. Not even Pencil has been touched on that paper. Occasionally, I used eraser to wipe off the grease, but other than that, It is fully in ballpoint pen.
The origin of this one was purely accidental. I really had no idea when i drew the first line. I just wanted to do something good as a new deviation here. DA has so much inspired me and I wanted to do something appealing. I was talking to my friend at office and absentmindedly sketched the beast's head in outline. I continued it and by the time i noticed what i was doing, I had half finished shading the beast's head. I had a good look at it and wanted to take it to this subject.
Both of them are in the beast's old worn out garden sharing their moment of love together. I added flowers, birds and the rabbit below to add serenity to the scene here, to make it feel lighter. even though the whole mood is love, somehow there is this dullness seeping through... Me, perhaps...
