Skins have always fascinated me.
The power to drive away from the usual boring road has always meant much, I love the way the shape shifts, the buttons change and something new forms out of something similar. I've tried it out on winamp, Windows media player and whatever devil that could do the shape-shift, and I've found pleasure and fascination in it.
So here is my first attempt in designing a skin for myself. It doesn't really matter what player it is for... All that matters is it is a skin. I've named it "FUTUREPOD". It's a futuristic gadget according to me, and I've tried as hard as I can to bring that element in whatever way I could. It's designed using Illustrator CS3 and took about four hours of my freetime at office.
You can see here the mini form as well as the extended form of the player. The visualisation is docked below the interface and it stays there in the "track-view" also. I've also shown the button behaviors in here. The left panel that slides out controls the rest of the player and it also comes with many other colour shifts. You can see the "screenshots" below just to see it in action. Well.... That's it folks...
